View and manage power consumption
Use the original charger and battery to maintain optimal battery performance over the life of your device. The battery comes partially charged. Battery life and charge cycles vary by use and settings.Â
Â
View battery usage
1. Swipe down from the
Notification bar with two fingers, then select theÂ
Settings icon.
Â
2. Select
Battery, then select
Battery usage. Battery usage information will be displayed.

Â
Â
Enable battery saver mode
From the Battery screen, select Battery Saver then select the Use Battery Saver switch.
Â
Note: Alternatively, swipe down from the Notification bar with two fingers then swipe left twice. Select the
Battery saver icon. Battery-smart features can help save your battery for what matters most. Seldom-used apps go into App Standby to conserve battery. To save battery, consider USB Power Saving or enabling Reduce battery aging. USB Power Saving is useful for devices that are on a fixed daily on/off schedule and for devices in vehicle kits that should automatically boot up/power off with the vehicle. Reduce battery aging stops charging the battery at 80% instead of charging to 100%. This can extend the overall useful life of the integrated battery.Â

Â
Â
From the Settings screen, scroll to and select Passwords & accounts, then scroll to and select the Automatically sync app data switch.Â
Â
Note: Select OKÂ to confirm. Turn Auto-sync back on to allow apps to download new data like email, social media posts, etc.
Â

Â
Â
Turn off auto-updates for apps

Â
Play Store app >
Account icon >

Â
Â
Turn off unused services and activate Airplane modeÂ
Swipe down from the Notification bar with two fingers, then if enabled select Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to disable. If you are traveling and do not have access to mobile or Wi-Fi networks, enable Airplane mode. Swipe left, then select Airplane mode.
